Remember that I’ve told you I had a good time in China. Well all was ok except for some things, as I got cheated quite a few times. In fact the first cheat was when I stepped of the plain:

1. was walking toward the exit of the airport to take a direct train to my girls town which is 2 hours away when some people I’ve asked for direction told me that its best to take a mini van there and told me to go to mini van. So I went the mini van turned out to be a crap old coach that broke down almost near the town and it took them 4 hours to replace it. It also cost more for this way of travel.

2. Went to buy electronics to make some money and bring back to UK. Well they sold me usb memory sticks 6 of which made by Sony of which none worked! So i took them back. Then they gave me another Sony product MP4 player which worked but as i’ve sold 3 of them on ebay in UK, they turned out to be fakes. And 2 of the buyers wanted their money back. Also one got lost by our terrible royal mail.

3rd con was when I played euro millions on net and won $46 dollars. Web site was in USA and promised to send me cheque in post which never arrived.

4. there were probably several other ways I was knocked but were to good to detect.

In fact i’ve not made any money in China. It appears that Chinese people in China are hunting foreigners to cheat them. When they see a foreigner on the street and alarm rings in their heads to go and do him. I was really easy pray being there for first time and not knowing how things work.

I’ve meet coupple of Chinese that seem to have a mind that works like this:

1. cheat him
2. cheat him again
3. cheat him until his finished
4. then step over his dead body and find another foreign fool

This happend in west also but in China its so blatant its shocking! In big shops with branded names like Sony being sold fakes!

If you going there you better have a good guide which are hard to come or you will be scammed!

The only good things I can say about China are those:

1. My Chinese girl friend offered me to stay at her place rent free. She is kind and loving.

2. Got invited several time to restaurant by few Chinese friends.

3. Food in China is really tasty and cheap! But watch out don’t eat at every restaurant as some sell food thats gone off (as we know where Sars come from , many vendors don’t know much about hygiene). To many restaurants and food sellers in China hygiene is as alien concept as human rights and environmental protection or the taboo practice of honesty to the Chinese government.

Best to eat in restaurants that are on main streets and not small off the street outlets!

4. Some friends went with me to help me find things to sell back in UK.

Told my mate about it in Wales. He said ‘Thats a third world”.

Completely forgotten that China is a third world and what that means. What that means dear readers is that there is no justice, no honor, no dignity, no respect. It is a place where there is only 1 God - money. You can buy anything or anyone there - children, babies, organs, military equipment, people for whatever you want, forest to burn down… If you wondering how this is possible it is simple. Third world is so corrupted that they will sell anything for some dough. You can get away with anything, most of the time quite cheaply as Police there is cheap!

Another think I've experienced while in China is a sad feeling that Chinese hate each other. It is a feeling just

like a feeling I have in London that if you have no friends here and no money people will step over you when you

fall down and give you any help. When you go down each 'level' you go down you get something ripped of you. At first

it be your clothes, then your body, then your soul. Just like in London, if you have no money and no contacts you will

need a lof of good luck to survive in the Jungle.

My other mate gave me the below link showing how

the chinese have been scamming foreigners for centuries it would seem and have become experts, many have suffered.

GREEN STUFF

GREEN NEWS FROM EUROPE

UK

1. Isle of Wight set to become world’s first ‘eco-island’. Powered 100% by green electricity is the start. Iceland is already 99% powered by geo thermal green power but they still do hunt and kill whales! That puts them in dark ages on environmental stance. Doing eco stuff in one area and destroying nature in another is not the way to do things. Iceland is on my boycott list of places I will not visit due to its stance on whale hunting. As of Nov 1 2007 Iceland has stopped commercial whale killing ONLY due to lack of demand for whale meat. Iceland

CHINA

1. “China to Start Work on Eco-City in New Year. The firm expects construction to start in early 2008 at Dongtan, a development on an island outside Shanghai where all energy will be renewable, no gasoline-fueled cars permitted and farms will grow organic vegetables for local consumption.” That is very impressive to build whole not only powered by green electricity but no gasoline cars and growing organic foods! This is like the really green town! Way to go! China is setting a global example on eco town! Lets see what reality will be when they finish! More of those please as they are sustainable projects that work with nature and can last forever! Yeeeeeah!!! Some proposed pictures of this town.

2. World’s Top Metal Recycling Company to Be Set up in Development District of GZ. This is a huge green step for big metal recycling plant to be set up in GZ. Firstly it will get rid of a lot of metals. Secondly it will produce new metals from old rubbish! Big cities produce so much rubbish that it could probably make, if recycled, over 50% of big cities needs for new material.

DAILY LIFE

Got cheated right off the plain. When got off the plain at Honk Kong someone approach me and offered a service to get me to my destination which is Guang Zhou or I call it big stink hole as the pollution here is as bad as that found in London smog of 1950’s. They got me a car to a coach to GZ. Journey which was meant to last 2 hour but turned out to be over 4 hours as the coach broke on the way there.

TIP: So as a warning if any of you get of the plain at HK and are offered a private shuttle to a coach to your destination, take the train. It will be faster and will get you there on time.

Then in GZ I look for electronics to take back home and found flash SONY 32 GB memory stick for really good price. So got 6 of those but non of them worked so tried to get my money back but here they don’t offer refunds. So they gave me some crap 1gb pmp players they I know I wont sell and will lose on this deal. This was done in one big shop market on the main street. China is filled with cheats that do not hide in dark alleys but are on the main street with goods that don’t work sold openly.

One needs to be on guard most of the time here as Chinese can spot a foreigner for miles and try to do him by default! Have Chinese business men hear of something called reputation? Hmmm with the recent news of Chinese products containing hazardous materials I begin to wonder whats going on here.

TIP: when shopping:

1. test anything you buy before you buy!

2. get a receipt.3. when they say 300RMB for something you say 100RMB. Try to cat the price by 3 by default!

Many know how bad China has reputation regarding environmental protection. With a coal power plant oppening here weekly and having cities that have the deadly smog levels of London 1950’s killer smog, many consider China to be in dark ages on its environment management. The town I am staying in has worse air pollution in comparison to London X 10. Here those deadly smogs are not uncommon. however the government is doing big and small changes to its environmental stance. The whole world is looking at China so those green steps are very commendable (good)! The more green changes here the better. China has opportunity to do sustainable development and show the world how to live close to nature! When you respect nature she looks after you. If not a tornado can come and wipe the us humans out like dinosoarus in one day. No defence against that!

GREEN STUFF IN GUANG ZHOU

1. Truck Ban to Relieve Inner Ring Road. Banning those big gas guzzlers is great. First roads will last longer. Second less pollution! GZ’s small yet significant step towards more eco town!

2. GZ has world’s largest wind power turbins generating company! This company spending ($53.6 million) ) is no small cookie. Now all we need to do is put them all over China to generate much wind power! Wind power is incalculable times better than coal and nuclaer power plants as it creats no pollution at all. The world being dirty and polluted place is what we need most now!

3. City Bans Popular Cantonese Dish of Snake and Cat. Snakes are part of forests ecosystem so taking them away will put this delicately balanced system at risk. There are more than enough meat dishes on Chinese menu to fill this lose!

4. One of the biggest green steps in GZ was the “Guangzhou without Motorcycles ban.” Now many people are using electric scooters which are 100% green. It would be wonderful if the electricty they are running on come from wind or solor or tide! That would make the whole thing environmentally friendly. But sadly much coal is burned to make electricty here.

5. GZ launches “Green Commuting“, which asks drivers to live their cars at home and promotes environmental awareness. I belive the more people know how bad pollution is here and how much change they can make for better with very small steps, i.e. living your car at home for 1 day a week more, then people will become more green. This is because caring for nature is a long term investment in your childs future. And allowing your children to enjoy forests and nature.

The Chines government is introducing more environmentally friendly activities such as “No Car Day” and ”Green Transport and Health”.

Here are simple green tips you can do!

I. GREEN TIPS

II. GREEN TIPS WOMEN CAN DO

III. GREEN TIP A DAY VIA EMAIL! Just put ur email in the box there to get a green tip a day directly to your email.

IV. GREEN TIPS by GREEN PEACE.

V. GREEN SHOPPING TIPS. Consumers that is shoppers, have huge power to make Earth green. Every time you buy green product you giving your money to a green cause and taking it away from bad guys who dont care about nature. It might be a drop in the sea but the sea is made up of drops! It’s called ethical consumer, when you buy products and use services from companies that are doing something about environmental protection or simply making their products in a way to that does not destroy nature.

A shining example of such company is Bio-D which makes home cleaning products that are made up of natural ingredients and not chemicals. I buy my dish washing and toilet washing liquid there. Also buy my multi surface cleaner there. All work well and most importantly do not pollute environment once they get in to the water system.

6. Xu Haiting, 14-year-old student at Shekou International School, had been nominated for the national award, the only school student out of 280 entrants. “I am helping reduce the use of plastic bags, promote eco-friendly ideas in local communities and plant 20 trees each year.” A very young eco warrior. A rising star is making more piggies aware about how important its to work with nature! Young ‘green heart’.

GREEN NOTABLE WEB SITES

1. www.inhabitat.com - blog about sustainable architecture and living! Stylish design with interesting articles about new green stuff! Just like this blog but focus on architecture!

QUOTE OF LIFE TIME
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
Matthew 15:26

Am not big Christianity fun but some of the stuff they have in Bible is very smart. Like this quote. If you give those dogs your perils they will just fart on them and use it against you to laugh at you. Many dogs those days that don’t appreciate anything apart from beer and soap TV programs.
